The Field Coach plays a pivotal role in enhancing the knowledge, capabilities, and field effectiveness of the Medical Representatives. The role focuses on delivering structured training, conducting field visits, and ensuring continuous development through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job reinforcement. The Field Coach is responsible for aligning training practices with company strategies, compliance requirements, and performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Field Coach & Development
- Conduct field-based training through double visits with Medical Representatives to reinforce selling skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement techniques.
- Assess representatives’ performance during field visits and provide real-time feedback and support.
- Customize training interventions based on individual development needs and team performance trends.
Capability Building
- Deliver structured onboarding programs for new joiners to ensure fast ramp-up and compliance with company standards.
- Facilitate continuous learning sessions (e.g., refresher courses, product updates, role plays, and workshops).
- Promote best practices in selling techniques, customer interaction, time management, and objection handling.
Collaboration & Performance Support
- Partner with Sales Supervisors and Managers to identify performance gaps and recommend targeted training solutions.
- Support execution of coaching plans and development pathways in coordination with the Sales Leadership Team.
- Track and document progress of trained employees, providing insightful reports and follow-up actions.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Medicine, or related Life Sciences field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or field coaching.
- Experience in adult learning, coaching, or facilitation is a strong advantage.
