Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process (invoice verification, matching, posting, and payments) in SAP.
- Review suppliers’ invoices, supporting documents, and purchase orders for accuracy and proper authorization.
- Monitor aging of payables, prepare payment proposals, and ensure timely settlement to maintain good supplier relationships.
- Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues with procurement, warehouse, and suppliers.
- Prepare monthly AP schedules, accruals, and reports for management and auditors.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accrual entries and reporting.
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors and provide necessary documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement of AP procedures and SAP enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable (preferably in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or manufacturing sectors).
- Hands-on experience with SAP (FI module) – essential and if ( MM module ) is preferable.
- Good knowledge of Egyptian tax laws (VAT, WHT, stamp duty) and accounting standards.
- Experience with supplier reconciliations, payment runs, and month-end closing.
