JOB TITLE: Senior Product Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifies and prioritizes business challenges across the private and tender sectors in Iraq, conducts market research and analysis, and provides actionable insights to Sales and Marketing teams.
- Utilizes market analytics, business intelligence and statistical methods to generate actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Tracks and analyse brand and competitor performance, key initiatives and growth drivers, and recommends appropriate actions.
- Determines appropriate data sources and proactively provides analysis to address business issues and identify growth opportunities.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of market research findings, historical trends, business performance, competitive landscape, clinical evidence and customer needs to support strategic decision-making.
- Applies market and customer insights to develop effective brand messaging in alignment with the Head of Marketing and Sales Management.
- Maintains an in-depth understanding of local legal, regulatory, MOH and CMS requirements, ensuring they are appropriately reflected in brand strategies and marketing activities.
- Anticipates market changes, identifies potential risks and opportunities, and develops contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
- Demonstrates sound business judgment and escalates key issues to management when appropriate.
- Develops annual strategic and operational brand plans aligned with business objectives.
- Identifies growth opportunities through market segmentation, lifecycle management and portfolio optimization.
- Implements marketing initiatives in accordance with approved brand plans and Jamjoom Pharma SOPs.
- Leads the planning and execution of new product launches, ensuring launch readiness across Marketing, Sales, Medical, Regulatory and Supply Chain functions.
- Delivers marketing programs across all key customer segments, including Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Hospitals, Retail and Consumers, while monitoring performance against predefined KPIs.
- Develops sales forecasts and financial assumptions to support business planning and new business case evaluations.
- Owns brand financial performance, including forecasting, promotional budget management, ROI evaluation and profitability monitoring.
- Makes sound business recommendations despite ambiguity or incomplete market information.
- Monitors promotional budgets against actual spending across brands, business sectors and channels, and reports performance to the Head of Marketing and Senior Management.
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and deliver agreed objectives.
- Works closely with Market Access, Medical, Regulatory, Sales and Supply Chain teams to support product registrations, pricing, reimbursement activities and MOH/public sector tender strategies.
- Works closely with Supply Chain to ensure accurate demand forecasting, product availability and inventory optimization.
- Develops promotional materials, sales tools and field force guidance to maximize execution excellence.
- Supports Sales Force training and provides regular product, market and competitive updates.
- Drives digital marketing initiatives, CRM programs and omnichannel customer engagement while monitoring performance through defined KPIs.
- Develops and maintains relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), key accounts, pharmacy chains, distributors and relevant healthcare authorities.
- Identifies emerging KOLs and speakers and collaborates with Medical and Marketing teams to support local and regional CME educational programs.
- Ensures all promotional activities and materials comply with Jamjoom Pharma SOPs, local regulations and applicable ethical standards.
- Monitors brand KPIs, regularly reviews business performance and implements corrective actions to achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrates leadership by influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority to achieve business objectives.
- Effectively manages multiple priorities and consistently delivers high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Marketing is preferred.
- Strong medical and scientific knowledge.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 3-5 years in Brand Management.
- Experience in the Ophthalmology therapeutic area and/or branded generics business is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of the Iraqi pharmaceutical market, healthcare system, market dynamics, business sectors, MOH regulations and tender environment.
- Good knowledge of digital marketing, CRM platforms, omnichannel engagement, KPI development and dashboard analysis.
- Experience working with business intelligence and market research databases (e.g., IQVIA, AMS).
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Autonomous, proactive and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and accountability.
